When you save items using Bellara, we store:

Store name and product link
Timestamp of when item was saved
Your personal notes about items

Browser Storage

Bellara uses Chrome's local storage to keep your data on YOUR device only:

Saved wishlist items
Store list cache
Session information

Optional Account Data

If you create a Bellara account to sync across devices:

Email address (for login)
Password (encrypted)
Synced wishlist items
Account settings and preferences

Usage Information

We collect limited analytics to improve the extension:

Which stores you visit (aggregated, not individual tracking)
Extension version and error logs
Feature usage (which buttons are clicked most)

2. How We Use Your Information

To store and manage your wishlist items
To sync your data across devices (if account is created)

3. Data Storage & Security

Local Storage (Primary)

By default, all your wishlist data is stored locally on your computer in Chrome's encrypted storage. This data NEVER leaves your device unless you create an account to sync.

Cloud Storage (Optional)

If you create an account, your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL database) with:

End-to-end encryption for sensitive data
Industry-standard security protocols
Regular security audits
GDPR-compliant data handling

Security Measures

HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
Passwords hashed using bcrypt
No passwords stored in plain text
Regular security updates

4. What We Don't Collect

Bellara explicitly does NOT:

Track your browsing history on retail websites
Collect your payment or credit card information
Collect your personal identification documents
Share your data with advertisers or third parties
Use cookie tracking or behavioral profiling
Monitor your activity on non-Bellara websites
Sell your data to anyone

5. Third-Party Services

Supabase

Chrome Web Store

Retail Store APIs

When you use Bellara on retail websites, we may fetch public product information. We do not collect personal information from these sites on your behalf.

6. Your Rights & Control

Access Your Data

You can view all your saved items in the Bellara extension at any time. If you have an account, you can download all your data from your account settings.

Delete Your Data

You can:

Delete individual items from your wishlist in the extension
Clear all local data by uninstalling the extension
Delete your account to remove cloud-synced data
Request data deletion by contacting support@bellara.shop

Opt-Out

You can disable the extension at any time through Chrome settings. No further data collection will occur after disabling.

7. Cookie Policy

Bellara does not use cookies for tracking. We only use browser storage (local storage and session storage) to remember your preferences and wishlist items on your device.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you use Bellara:

Local storage data: Until you clear your browser data or uninstall the extension
Account data: Until you delete your account
Deleted items: Immediately removed from servers (soft delete, can be recovered within 30 days)
After account deletion: All data removed within 30 days

9. Children's Privacy

Bellara is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at support@bellara.shop.

10. International Data Transfer

Bellara operates globally. If you are located outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and stored in the United States or other countries. By using Bellara, you consent to this transfer. We comply with GDPR and other international data protection laws.

11. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and posting the new policy in the extension. Your continued use of Bellara after changes means you accept the updated policy.
